Write or email Congress to ask that the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act be brought up for a vote.
SAMPLE LETTER

Dear Senate Majority Leader Schumer and Senate Minority Leader McConnell:
I write to urge you to bring the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (S.1486) to the Senate floor for a vote.
The Supreme Court’s recent decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization has prompted major shifts in the laws regulating pregnancy and abortion in the United States. It is now crucial that policymakers work together to foster a national environment that promotes the health of all pregnant women and their children.
The Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) will make workplaces safer for pregnant women. It will help
those who want to remain in the workforce during pregnancy to do so, relieving them of the harrowing
choice between their health and their child’s health and earning an income.
I encourage you to work with your colleagues to support pregnant women in the workforce. PWFA is a
common-sense, bipartisan approach to promoting reasonable accommodations for pregnant women in the workforce. I urge the Senate to bring the PWFA to a vote this month.
Sincerely,
Your Name
