Tom McWhertor
Tom recently retired as Director of Constituency Relations for World Renew --a disaster response and international community development organization based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Burlington, Ontario. He has served on the board of the Center for Public Justice numerous times since 1981 --again now since 2012 -- and recently served as board chair for three years. He previously served on the staff of the CCO --Coalition for Christian Outreach, APJ, and the APJ Education Fund (now the Center for Public Justice), the Williamsburg Charter Foundation, The Second Watch, and Calvin College --as Vice President for Enrollment and External Relations.

Tom has served on the boards of Dordt College, the Gerald R. Ford Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the Public Information and Education Committee of the Grand Valley Metropolitan Council, and the Annapolis Area Christian Schools. Tom is married to Janice, who retired as minister of congregational life in 2016. Together they were members of the founding group for Pittsburgh Urban Christian School and also served on the Rivendell School board in Alexandria, Virginia.

Janice and Tom have four grown children and seven grandchildren. They live in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where they are members of Church of the Servant, Christian Reformed Church.
