At APJ, our work flows out of the conviction that government is an integral part of God's good Creation, and political action is part of our call as image-bearers. As we engage in the long journey of sustained advocacy on behalf of our neighbors, communities, and community institutions, we will:

1. Ground our advocacy on the teaching of Christ. 

2. Pray daily to be used by God to love our neighbors through politics as we engage in the long journey of identifying injustices, evaluating public policies, and launching advocacy campaigns to promote justice for people, communities, and organizations. 

3. Promote justice and shalom, so that all peoples may flourish. 

4. Honor all image bearers, promoting the dignity of all persons in the flourishing of communities and organizations.

5. Seek the common good, not merely our own interests.

6. Discern, respect, and uphold the God-given roles and responsibilities of churches, families, governments, businesses, non-profits, schools, and other institutions to promote justice and shalom.

7. Steward well our voice, our reputation, and our intellectual and economic resources.

8. Love as Christ loved, promoting healing and restoration in the ways we see, hear, and respond to injustice.

9. Seek to collaborate across differences toward common goals.

10. Speak life, that our words always be full of kindness and grace, even in the midst of deep disagreement.
