About the event

Join APJ for a gathering with Stanley Carlson-Thies, director of the Center for Public Justice’s Institutional Religious Freedom Alliance, moderated by APJ Board Co-Chair, Art Hooker. Stanley will provide an overview of the implications for faith-based organizations and religious freedom more broadly from the Equality Act as currently written that is before the U.S. Senate, as well as the Fairness for All legislation developed in coalition by the Center for Public Justice to protect LGBTQ rights and religious freedom simultaneously, rather than one at the expense of the other.  Art will moderate the discussion, and APJ Executive Director Stephanie Summers will share APJ's advocacy strategy. A time of Q&A will follow, as well as a discussion of next steps. Questions may be directed to Nancy Yu at contact@apjustice.org.
